Havent posted in a while...

I have had a lot of stuff going on. December 2nd I had knee surgery and the following my grandmother passed away. We knew it was going to happen as she had been in Hospice house for three weeks, but it was still hard when it happened. So after about 3 weeks of not tracking I decided to bit e the bullet and weigh in and I was up only about 2 pounds which wasnt bad considering. This week I decided to WI in the morning on Christmas eve so I would be going a week with out WI, so I was down .6 which I am perfectly satisfied with, considering its the holidays. I may not be on that often since I dont have internet right now, I have to go to my parents to get online, but hopefully soon I will have it back and be posting on a regular basis again.

Why I havent posted

Someone was asking why, well I totally havent been on plan at all this week. My grandmother had another stroke and have removed the feeding tube and taken her off the vent and she has been moved to hospice house, although she is breathing on her own, I believe they have given her a week to 10 days, so I have been spending all my time at hospice. The whole family is here. My grandparents had 8 children and one died last summer, so everyone and their kids are down here and we are just waiting. It is very sad, so If I dont post much in this next week, this is why. Thanks to all for your kind words. I will be back on as soon as I can.

WHY....WHY....WHY!!

I have really blew it today, had to do some stuff this morning and stopped at walmart, and of course havent eaten anything since 2 am at work and was starving, so stopped at deli and got .5 pound of bbq chicken chunks(i know, i know) and then Sonic was there and I intended to stop there and forgot so went in there and had a xtra long coney dog with tater tots, so for today I have already had 49 pts for today...not good, not good......sigh!!!

Not sure why I end up doing these things, but I did and have moved on. Im eating my salad for supper that I should have eaten at work last night instead of the meatball sub and jalapeno chips. I need to buy some more water as im out. Im going to try to do much better this weekend since I am weighing in on Tuesday night.

Just a quickie

Just thought I would get a quickie post in. I changed meetings to Tues. evening which I think is going to work out better for me. The leader is a guy and I really like him and the group, apparently he has a website with recipes and stuff and sends out emails. Guess I will have to find out what it is. On a happier note, I lost 2.4 this week which brings my total to 7.8. My mini goal is to get back down to 300 and right now I'm at 312.2. I have noticed that ww scales weighs me less than my scale which is good. Altogether I'm happy, that is a good number and I was off program for a couple days. I have been doing better with my healthy guidelines and have been trying to eat more salad which is hard for me, but I'm working on it. Hope every one is nice and warm and watch out for that candy that's floating around this week.

Back to our scheduled programming

So I didnt realize it had been a week since I posted last, I was a bit off program for a couple days andthen we went to Cici's pizza and I had no idea how many pts I had. So Sunday I started fresh, of course Sunday night had a couple too many pts with the rum shots and coke, but I counted them. So had my oatmeal this morning and stopped at Subway for lunch and had the 6in. and baked chips. It seems like everytime I go in subway they are always out of the apple slices. I got some peaches so I can work on getting the fruits and veggies in. One thing I am doing good one is getting my water, I just had to get another case of bottled water. Still havent been able to get the exercise part in,but I have been parking further away at the store and taking the stairs at work.

So for this week,
  • Keep on getting the water
  • Try to get in Fruits and veggies as many days as possible
  • Keep trying to fit exercise in somewhere

I wasnt able to go to the meeting due to taking on some extra work this weekend, so Im just going to change and go to the 6pm meeting on Tues. night.

Heres something to think about...58 days till Christmas!! The holiday eating fest will be upon us soon.

Weigh In

well today was the day, I went to my meeting and weighed in...I am down 1.8, which gave me 5.4 lost, so I got my five pound star. I didnt want to stay for the meeting since I was soo tired from work but I stayed. I believe that I need to stay at the meeting just so that I can have motivation for the following week. I like my leader a lot. I remember when when she was losing weight on ww and she was in the same meetings that my mom and I went and now she looks great.

So about those goals I set last week...didnt really make them, I got some of the guidelines in most days of the week, but thats not good enough so I am going to try and shoot for that again this week. I didnt get in any exercise in at all either. So I think I will just keep those goals until I can achieve them.

So for this week,

  • Get in ALL 8 healthy guidelines
  • Exercise twice this week

Some is better than none

I know I said I needed to stick with my Healthy Guidelines, but didnt so good there yesterday. I got my water and a 3 veggies but thats about as far as it went. I kinda ended up grazing but is still low pt stuff and I counted the pts and used flex pts. This the kind of problem I have when I am off work and try to stay up as late as possible, I end up eating more naturally, of course then I dont know where to put lunch on my journal, since I ate lunch the previous night at 2 am. Oh well Im doing better in that area today. So far today this is what I have had

Im sure Ill be ok since im going to work tonight. On another note, last night when I got up in the evening. I was thinking about going to mcDonalds, since I had flex pts and then I decided I would just make myself 2 of the flat pizzas using diced chicken and bbq sauce mixed in with the tomato sauce which is very good. I get 4 halves which are a good size and end up with more food for about the same amt. of points, so I pat myself on the back for making the right choice. Oh and those flat out pizzas are my new fav food of choice for right now.



The exercise part of my goal hasnt really been happening, yesterday I said I was going to the pool...nope, didnt happen.



So far this week,





  • I made a good choice in choosing food from home versus greasy pointy fast food

  • I have gotten in my water, have definetly been drinking a lot of water

So to sum it up, so far some is better than none.


And I am still smoke free.

A new week

Well made it through the weekend and even stuck to my pts. well sat. had some left, but sunday used some flex pts and the ap's. I am going into my third week and have noticed after I first joined I payed real close attention to those healthy Guidlines, well it seems that this week, I havent paid as close attention to getting them in.

This week, Im setting some mini goals for myself here and that would be

  1. get in my fruits and vegetables
  2. drink all my water
  3. exercise twice this week

I dont want to get overwhelmed so we will leave it at that. I do get in some exercise every night at work since I started taking the stairs when I go down for my breaks.

Funny thing about how things get ingrained into us. When I first started taking the stairs, everytime I would leave to go downstairs I would automatically head for the elevator and then remember, Oh yeah...and circle around. I still find myself subconsciously heading for the elevator, so working hard to break that one.

Good Aftenoon

This is my second week on WW's again, so today when I woke up I decided I need to start exercising again, so I picked up where I left off when I was walking before. I went downtown and walked down by the river and over the bridge and back, it took me an hour and of course just made me realize just how out of shape that I am.

  • One good thing about the whole experience is, I quit smoking also "again" when I joined WW's again, so Im sure it would have been a lot harder to catch my breath going up that incline if I had been smoking. So thats great and I am proud of myself for getting in exercise and quitting smoking. I can greatly use all the extra health benefits.
